Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes Toddler Lap Time, 3/1/13
Wow, this was a wild group! The Friday session is normally very tame, but it was bigger than usual, and we had one little guy who just could not keep his hands off the other kids' faces! There were a lot of tears and angry grunts and not-gentle pushed, and we ended early because the chaos just got to be too much. I let all my books go out on Thursday, so I had to read different ones for this session, but they worked just as well.
Book: I Can Do It, Too! by Karen Baicker, illustrated by Ken Wilson-Max
Song: You Can Clap Your Hands
Book: Eyes, Nose, Fingers, and Toes by Judy Hindley
Song: My Eyes Are Made for Seeing
Book: Growing Like Me by Anne Rockwell
Song: Hands Up High
Rhyme: Wiggle Fingers
Song: I'm a Little Teapot
Song: Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes
Songs with Shaker Eggs
- Song: Shake My Sillies Out
- Song: Sing a Happy Song
- Song: Can You Shake Your Egg With Me?
Song: Itsy Bitsy Spider
Song: If You’re Happy and You Know It
I use the same hello and goodbye songs at almost every session. Click here for the tunes and words. For descriptions of each of my story times, click here.
