We recited this nursery rhyme three times, emphasizing the rhythm, and each time we said "over" we lifted the babies up into the air. This is my new favorite story time concept. We used the same idea with Hey Diddle Diddle the last time.

Higher Higher! is really hit or miss for my story times! If the kids are into in and saying the words with me then is great, but if no one says anything then it's a real bust!
ReplyDeleteIt really is one of those that depends on the audience to make it work. I have noticed that the more excited I seem about saying "higher higher" the more likely the kids are to do it, but not always. Sometimes they still just stare at me!
