I read this book as a kid, and it's being re-released later this year.  It's the story of how a boy comes to accept his new stepfamily following his mother's remarriage.

  1. Congratulations--very excited for you and M.! I loved Babysitters' Club growing up, and I enjoyed rereading Kristy's Big Day several times. Have fun with your engagement period!

I finally found an old copy of Kristy's Big Day!!! =D I might review it next week or the week after.

Isn't there another Cleary book with a wedding? I recall Beezus and Ramona's aunt marrying Howie's uncle or something like that.

This is a great theme, by the way! You've got me thinking about weddings in books I've read. So far, the only ones that come to mind are those with weddings at the beginning (e.g., The Moon by Night by Madeleine L'Engle) and weddings at the end (80% of all Romance novels I've read, LOL!); but it's rare to find a book wrapped up in a wedding.
